Organizing, regulating and harmonizing Blue Water Regattas in the Mediterranean since 1926.
Founded in 1926 by a group of yachtsmen, the Comité International de la Méditerranée (CIM) pursues its founding values: organizing Blue Water regattas with a view to promoting and reinforcing the identity of yachting in the Mediterranean.
Keener than ever before to listen to traditional yacht owners, the CIM has restructured its organization, marking an important change in its history.
The social seat is placed in the Principality of Monaco, the general secretariat can be on the contrary rotating between the four founding yacht clubs: now it is in Genoa, at the Yacht Club Italiano.
The CIM is managed by an Executive Committee composed by three members for each of the four founding countries (Spain, Italy, France and Monaco). It is furthermore directed by an Executive Bureau composed by the President, the General Secretary and the Treasurer.
Its International Rating Committee has the supervision of the application of the Rules for the Rating and of the issue of the rating certificates.
The above-mentioned reorganization has been necessary to keep intact our maritime heritage and ensure the survival of classic yacht regattas.
A real challenge!
